November Meeting

Come CELEBRATE with us!  We have some special surprises for you!

For now, we are going to set aside our losses and celebrate the wins we have.  America has a second chance.  The mandate given to President Donald J. Trump is virtually unprecedented.  By the time we meet, we may have a clearer picture of the US House and US Senate majorities.

Of course, North Carolina had fewer reasons for celebration.  We seem to have lost the supermajority in the House and did not carry some important council of state seats for keeping Josh Stein in check.  Mitch Kokai will give us some of his expertise on what happened and what we can expect.

We will also be turning our attention to the future.  Just because the election will be over, doesn't mean that our work will be!  After a rest over the holidays, the New Year will hold many new challenges and opportunities

Speaker Bio: Mitch Kokai is a Senior Political Analyst with the John Locke Foundation. He has been with JLF for almost 20 years and was formerly a chief state government reporter for News 14 Carolina. Prior to that, he worked in radio news for a decade. He's no stranger to our club and has visited several times over the years to bring us competent analysis of the political landscape here in North Carolina.
