July Meeting
Born Free: Our Rights, Our Rifles, and the Republic Worth Defending
Thursday, July 2, 2026 — 6:00 PM
East Wake Republican Club Monthly Meeting
Two days from now, America turns 250 years old. The Founders risked everything — their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor — for the idea that free people have the right to govern themselves and to defend that freedom with arms. That idea is as old as the republic. And it is under assault like never before.
This Independence Day meeting, we're welcoming one of North Carolina's most trusted constitutional advocates to speak plainly about the Second Amendment — what it means, what the courts have said, what the Biden-era legacy left behind, and what conservatives must do to protect gun rights from the courthouse to the county line.

- Dinner & Social Hour: 6:00 PM — 7:00 PM
- Meeting Begins: 7:00 PM
- Location: McLean's Ole Time Cafe — 418 W. Gannon Ave, Zebulon, NC 27591

- Fellowship with conservatives who take the Bill of Rights seriously — all of it
- Resources and action items to protect your rights and your neighbors' rights
Why This Matters
The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It's not about sport. It is the amendment that protects all the others. The Founders were explicit: the right to keep and bear arms is the final check on tyranny. When government grows too large, too intrusive, and too comfortable with taking what belongs to citizens — whether it's their land, their money, or their liberties — an armed citizenry is the ultimate answer.
In East Wake, we know our neighbors. We look out for each other. The idea that a bureaucrat in Washington or a judge appointed by the wrong president can tell us we can't protect our families on our own property is not something we accept quietly.
This Thursday, two days before we celebrate 250 years of freedom, let's recommit to the principles that made this country worth celebrating.
Bring your patriotism. Bring your questions. Bring a friend.
We'll see you Thursday — and God bless America.
